Late summer saw a broad range of crime and criminals dealt with by the courts in Bolton.
From major drug gangs to burglars and dangerous drivers, August proved to be as busy a month as any.
What follows are the names and crimes of eight people jailed in August.
Gary Fenton, 45 from Bolton, was one of a trio of drug dealers from across Greater Manchester and Lancashire involved a huge cocaine and gun plot.
He was jailed for 17 years.
Zulfiqar Khan, 39 from Farnworth, led a major drugs gang whose "tentacles of criminality" spread across the community according to a judge.
He was sent to 20 years and four months, while the rest of his gang all recieved legnthy sentences as well.
Connor Phelps, 25 from Breightmet, stabbed an escourt after having "no means to pay her."
He was jailed for 54 months.
Deborah Taylor, 62 from Bolton, "robbed a teenage boy of his innocence" when she started a sexual affair with him 30 years ago.
She was given a sentence of two years and put on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
Army veteran Matthew Varouma, 36 from Little Lever, threated to find his former partner "wherever she is" after a controlling and coercive relationship.
He went on to offend against another woman in Bolton in February and June of this year.
Varouma was jailed for 82 weeks and giving restraining orders banning him from contacting either woman for 10 years.
Curtis O'Brien, 34 from Bolton, allowed himself to "get nicked under another name" after dangerous driving on the A666.
He was jailed for two years and four months and was banned from the roads for 64 months.
Ali Hassan, 19 from Bolton, broke into a house that had previously contained a cannabis farm while armed with a "shiv."
He was sentenced to 47 months in prisonn.
Philip Norris, 35 from Horwich, failed to change his ways after leaving prison the last time and attacked his partner.
He was jailed for 27 months and hit with an indefinite restraining order.
