One of Bolton's most iconic buildings has been brought into sharp focus by a young photographer.
Now the work of Ariana Iqbal is on display at an exhibition celebrating the town at Bolton Museum.
The six-year-old said she is over the moon to have here work professionally exhibited. Ariana entered her school, Brownlow Fold Primary School, photography competition on June 30 and was selected the winner in her class.
She says she loves the town hall building and knew that she wanted to take a picture of it for the competition and after entering at the last minute.
As her prize she received a certificate and her picture printed on a canvas.
She could not be prouder and to top it all her picture has been displayed at the museum after Ariana's mum, Sumara Iqbal, had arranged this with the staff.
They were delighted to have Ariana's picture in their display and the special gesture has ignited Ariana's love for photography.
Sumara said: “She is over the moon that her picture won as part of her school competition and has then gone onto be displayed in the museum.
“She is very proud to be a Boltonian even at a young age and there is a bit of history to the photo she took as well, when she took the photo, we were on the way to pick up the registering kit for the IronKids and that was the last day she could have entered the photography competition.
“And when she got into town, she knew that she wanted to take a picture of the town hall, as that is a place she always wants to visit when she is in town.

“Her headteacher at Brownlow Fold Primary is also over the moon that her winning photograph has been displayed in the museum.
“I am so proud I just can’t stop smiling, the photograph is on display until the end of September or at the start of October.
“She even wants to visit the museum more than usual so she can see her photo there.
“Ariana took part in an all-schools competition, and she managed to win out of year one and with the 150 years of the town hall exhibition on, I just had a chat with the staff there and they would be delighted to showcase it, which is why the photo is now in the display.
“It is fitting with the exhibition, and we even went to the 150 years of the town hall tour.
“What an achievement it is to be a part of the history.”
