A new store is set to bolster the local economy, with residents welcoming the idea.
The Range is opening at Ellesmere Shopping Centre in Walkden, with work currently under way and job advertisements posted for the new store.
Spanning three empty units at the retail park, in between the M&S Foodhall and Pets at Home, construction workers can be seen on site working on the new shop.
Job vacancy adverts can also be seen printed in the windows.
The adverts, which have The Range's logo on them, say: "Are you looking for job opportunities? Colleague, operations manager and sales manager positions available.
"Full and part time positions available."
The advert asks any applicants to send their CV to walkden.recruitment@therange.co.uk and to specify which role they are applying for.
A store manager role can be seen advertised on The Range's website for the new store in Walkden.
The deadline for the application is August 31.
The opening date for the new branch is Friday, November 24.
Shoppers at the retail park gave their thoughts on whether the store would be a good addition.
One shopper said: "I think it will. We have to go to Eccles to go to The Range.
"It's definitely good for shoppers, it's good to have units open rather than empty. I've seen jobs being advertised for this shop.
"It looks like it's going to be really big."
Another said: "I think this is a good idea because we don't have many shops here. There are also a lot of empty spaces.
"I think if we are going to have more, more people will come and buy more.
"It's great, I will definitely be visiting to use it."
Another shopper added: "It's good to have an alternative to what we have already."
