A Bolton man has been charged with murder after a body was found at a house in Radcliffe earlier this week.
At around 10.30am on Tuesday, officers responded to reports of a burglary at a house on Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe.
On searching the property officers found the body of Donald Patience, 45, known as Prentice who was originally from Scotland.
Police have now established that Donald had been dead for several days, although the cause of death is still unknown and will be investigated further.
Ian Gary Connell, 39, of Duke Street, Bolton, has been charged with murder and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today (Saturday).
Two other men, aged 27 and 41, have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Paying tribute, Donald’s family described him as “a much-loved son, brother and father” who was “affectionately known as Prentice” and will be “sorely missed by many”.
