Turton School pupils hope to make a difference in the world as they move on to their A levels.
Ella Yarwood achieved five eights, two sevens, a six, and a five in her GCSEs, and she said it was a huge relief.
She will now continue at the sixth form where she will study English literature, politics, Spanish, and religious studies.
Ella said: “I am feeling quite a bit of happiness.
“I really like politics, and with Spanish I like learning languages.
“At times I have thought about being a journalist or maybe a paralegal apprenticeship.”
Aimee Cove achieved a nine, three eights, six sevens, and a five.
She is now set to study biology, geography, environmental science, and English language at the school’s six form.
Her passion for the subjects comes from a desire to protect sea animals as a marine biologist.
She said: “I would quite like to do marine biology at university or something to do with ocean conservation.
“I think with climate change it’s just really important that we should start learning more about it so we can help it.”
Matthew Foster achieved three nines, five eights, and three sevens and now plans to get ready for a career as an engineer.
“I enjoy science and maths because I find it quite easy.
“I would like to either choose mechanical engineering or aerospace, but I need to decide if I want to go to university or do an apprenticeship.
“I like designing things and making things work.”
Headteacher Sam Gorse said: “My congratulations goes to all Turton students on the completion of this stage of their education and on their many achievements during this period of study.
“It is a joy to see so many students gaining great sets of results and gaining places in their college of choice.
“This year’s impressive results reflect the effort and commitment that students have put into their studies.
“This year group have shown themselves to be so much more than a set of exam results- maintaining exceptional conduct throughout their exams, showing commitment to their studies and resilience and thoughtfulness towards each other.
“I and all the teachers at Turton, are enormously proud of each student’s development and accomplishments.
“It has been a pleasure to work with such a fabulous group of students and we wish everyone all the best for the future.”
