Canon Slade School pupils have set high ambitions for themselves after achieving top GCSE grades.
Amelia Wierzbicki achieved six nines, three eights and a seven.
She will now stay on at the sixth form to study maths, chemistry, biology, and history, and hopes to pursue a career in medicine.
Amelia said: “They are really different, but together it’s a really interesting set to do.
“I have always liked helping people, and I really like science.
“I would also like to visit some other countries.”
Emily Holden is now hoping to become a future geologist after achieving six grade nines, three eights, and a seven.
She will stay on at the sixth form to study geology, biology, and politics, and possibly teach singing which is another passion of hers.
Emily said: “It seems like looking at careers in the future, it seems like the perfect mix of a stable job with something I really enjoy and find interesting.
“I quite like that you can learn about how the world works and how the world was formed.
“To many people just a big old piece of rock, but it’s really amazing to see how mountains, glaciers, volcanoes, and earthquakes shape the world around us.”
Harry Bowden was relieved to get his results, after achieving 10 grade nines, including Latin.
He wants to take his love of maths and music to the next level now at the sixth form.
Harry said: “Music is what I want to pursue because that’s what I am passionate about, and I enjoy maths.
“If everything goes right for me, I want to be a concert pianist.
“I currently play classical music on the piano after learning in year six.”
Headtacher Karen Sudworth said: "We are immensely proud of the wide-ranging achievement and success that our students have realised at Canon Slade School, in the face of significant challenges posed by the legacy of the pandemic.
"Their grades stand as a testament to the hard work and dedication that they have demonstrated throughout the five years they have spent with us, and more importantly they will act as an important steppingstone to their future endeavours.
"We are also ever grateful for the support of our parents and carers as well as the continued efforts of all our staff during what has been another very challenging year contextually.
"Their enthusiasm and commitment to helping students achieve their full potential has been fundamental in producing our headline results of 63 per cent grade fives and 84 per cent grade fours in both English and maths."
