New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to four of Bolton’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have rated one eatery a five out of five, two eateries a four out of five, and one eatery a three out of five rating.
One eatery in the borough has been awarded a new five out of five hygiene rating after inspection.
Indian Ocean, at 79 Market Street, Westhoughton, was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 10.
The inspection report states all areas of the eatery are good.
Two eateries have also been rated a four out of five after recent inspections.
The Hawthorns at Douglas Valley Golf Club, Blackrod Bypass, Blackrod, was rated a four after inspection on July 15.
The inspection report states both the hygienic food handling, and the management of food safety are good whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building is generally satisfactory.
The Over Hulton Tandoori, a takeaway at 54 Newbrook Road, Bolton, was also given the score after assessment on July 11, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
The inspection report states the hygienic food handling is very good whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are generally satisfactory.
Finally, a Bolton takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
K2 Morris Green Chippy, a takeaway at 33-33a Morris Green Lane, Bolton, was given the score after assessment on July 18, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
The inspection report states the eatery is generally satisfactory in all areas.
It means that of Bolton's 370 takeaways with ratings, 145 (39 per cent) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
