A guided walk along the Manchester, Bolton, and Bury Canal is set to take place in aid of a good cause.
The event will take place from noon-4pm on Sunday October 22 and will begin at the Meccano Bridge, Little Lever, Bolton.
It will be led by Steven Parker, the founder of the Manchester, Bolton, and Bury Canal Society, which aims to explore the history of the sites.
The walk will start at Nob End, Little Lever, continuing along the unique Prestolee Locks.
They will then pass Ringley, Giant Seat, Rhodes Locks, and Clifton aqueduct, before walking up to Fletcher’s Canal for some lunch at Clifton Country Park.
The walk will then finish along the River Irwell on the footbridge and back to Nob End.
Those interested in the walk are asked to donate £5 each, with all proceeds going towards Little Britain Anglers to repair one of the workboats.
