Police are appealing for assistance from the public to trace the next of kin of a man who died in Westhoughton.
John Myler died at his address on Church Street on August 14, police said.
Appealing for information about Mr Myler in a post on social media this week, GMP Bolton said there are thought to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the 54-year-old.
In UK law, there is no definition of next of kin, but it is understood to be the closest relative, whether a partner, parent, child or sibling.
Anyone with information about the next of kin of Mr Myler is asked to contact the Police Coroner's Office in Bolton on 0161 856 4687.
