Two men are in hospital with serious injuries this evening after reports of stabbings in Manchester City Centre.
Police are still on the scene after being called to Dale Street at 6.30pm.
Officers say that this is being treated as an isolated incident and the victims - a 20-year-old man and a 30-year-old man - have been taken to hospital for treatment of serious and potentially life threatening injuries.
Areas in and around the area have been taped off and police said three males have been arrested on suspicion of assault.
Superintendent Phil Spurgeon of GMP's city centre district, said: "We are treating this as a targeted incident, however there will be an increased uniformed presence in the city centre to aid the investigation and to provide reassurance to members of the public.
"I want to appeal to anyone with information or footage - including CCTV, mobile or dashcam - to share it with the investigation team.
