A nursery has received a 'good' report following its first inspection.
Ladybridge Preschool based in Ladybridge Community Centre, on Beaumont Drive, was visited by Ofsted.
The nursery is for two-to-four-years-old and was first registered in 2021.
Ofsted inspectors rated it good in all areas including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management.
The report stated: "Children settle quickly as they receive a warm welcome from the happy and nurturing staff"
And added: "Staff are attentive to children's needs and build close relationships with them."
Inspectors added that children "enjoy the exciting activities planned for them as they arrive. All children are enthusiastic, active, interested and curious to learn".
Inspectors stated the staff at the preschool have ‘designed a well-planned curriculum based on the children's interests and next steps’.
The report continues: “They support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) very well.
“They have successfully focused on developing children's communication and language skills following the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Staff work closely with a range of services and professionals to meet children's individual needs.
“Children are supported and encouraged to be independent learners and to respect their environment.”
The report also stated arrangements for safeguarding are effective.
It states: “All staff are aware of signs which may mean a child is at risk of abuse and know the procedures they should follow.”
Parents have also praised the preschool.
The report states: “Parents talk fondly of the care their children receive.
“They describe the staff as friendly and approachable. Parents comment positively on the progress their children have made since attending.”
Inspectors have also stated there are ways in which the preschool can improve.
Helen Anderson, manager at Ladybridge Preschool, said: “We are really pleased with the Ofsted report, it was the first one since it was registered with the new owner, and we are just really pleased with the report and happy that everything went well.
“We have also been granted new hours from September which we have been fighting for because we were only a morning setting but now, we are able to offer afternoon sessions as well.
“We are just pleased with the assessment in general, that the result was what we expected it to be and what we hoped for as well.
“We are all happy as a team and I am so proud of my team, the owner, Jordan Jackson, is happy too.”
