Paddy McGuinness has said he feels “very loved and spoiled” after sharing snapshots of his pre-milestone birthday celebrations yesterday.
The Bolton-born actor and TV presenter has been celebrating with friends in the build-up to his 50th birthday, tomorrow, August 14, and has shared his gratitude to those who have supported and helped him.
Paddy was surprised by his pals ahead of the big day who quietly waited for him to unlock and enter the room before jumping out and ‘getting him good’ with 50th decorations and warm welcomes.
Sharing a video of the surprise on Instagram, Paddy captioned: “They got me good! One more sleep until the start of a new decade!”
The Top Gear host also shared a string of images taken during his celebrations with friends and offered his congratulations to Vicky McClure and Jonathan Owen, who recently tied the knot in Nottingham.
He captioned the post: “What a weekend! I felt very loved and spoiled.”
He added: “Started off with a pre 50th, 50th with an amazing bunch of people who’ve supported and helped me throughout my career.
“Then onto celebrating the wedding of @vicky.mcclure and @jonathanowen71 in Nottingham!
“Congratulations to the loveliest couple ever and thank you to the bestestest squad in the game.”
After sharing the news of the upcoming milestone, fans and commenters wished the star a happy birthday and welcomed him to the "50s club".
One commenter joked: "Happy shared bday for tomorrow 👌 for my present you can either arrange for me to meet you and Peter Kay or you can make another series of road to nowhere! It’s really you’re choice and I’m just as happy with either one!"
Another posted: "Welcome to the achy decade Paddy" and "You're never 50!? Christ".
Vicky McClure, who married film director Jonathan Owen on Friday, August 11, also wished Paddy a happy birthday and reminisced on their celebrations.
She posted: "Some week!! ❤️🔥 And last night was just epic!".
