Readers of The Bolton News have shared their opinions after the announcement that high-end retailer Flannels is coming to the town centre.
Flannels is set to open in the Market Place Shopping Centre at the end of this month, replacing Tessuti which is closing down on Sunday.
Tessuti said earlier this year it was closing its stores in both Bolton and Bury, and after this weekend the unit will be replaced with the Frasers Group’s designer, Flannels, moving in.
Fashionistas will be able to shop all their favourite designer brands, such as BOSS, D. Squared and Barbour, when the store opens towards the end of August.
And since the announcement of the new shop, readers have taken to the comments on social media and shared their views on the new opening.
One said: “Flannels are great and will do well in Bolton .... And it's not as pricey as some other high-end places.”
While another said they want smaller stores coming into the town centre.
They said: “It's Bolton not London, we don't need big brands. We want cosy shops and stalls like they have in Bury.

“If we want to buy from big brands, we will go to Manchester for that.
“Also, I want the Marks and Spencer’s back.”
People also expressed their concerns on the price of items.
One said: “That's a really expensive brand. There's a cost of living crisis.
“Make Bolton more like Bury, because that's where all the shoppers are.”
Responding to the comments, one person said: “No pleasing some people!!
"They complain lack of great fashion shops then complain when one plans to open.”
The Bolton News has also asked residents what shops they would like to see in the town centre.
Many said they would like to see M&S return, independent shops and the market stalls that used to be in Market Place.
Tessuti will close on Sunday and Flannels will open on August 25.
