A new high end fashion store is to open in Bolton, it has been announced.
Flannels will be moving into Market Place Shopping Centre, into the unit currently occupied by Tessuti.
Tessuti announced earlier this year it was closing its stores in both Bolton and Bury.
The Bolton store will close this weekend with the Frasers Group’s designer multi-brand retailer, Flannels moving in.
The nearest one is in Manchester City Centre.
Fashionistas will be able to shop all their favourite designer brands, such as BOSS, D. Squared and Barbour, when the store opens towards the end of August.
Tessuti will close this Sunday and the space will be empty for two weeks whilst the new shop is set up before opening on August 25.
This comes after signs were spotted in the windows of the store back in May that stated, "store closing, all stock must go", with all stock being reduced to at least 30 per cent.
The Tessuti store at The Rock in Bury also put up signs announcing their closure and it has also been reported that the Stockport branch is also set to close, and that the Birmingham branch has recently closed.
Rachel Townsend, Store Manager at Market Place Shopping Centre, said: “We are incredibly excited to announce the arrival of this esteemed brand to our shopping centre, enhancing our diverse collection of both national and local independent retailers.
“Flannels will present a carefully curated selection of Men's, Women's, and Kidswear.
“Tessuti will be closed Sunday August 13 for their shop fit and will reopen its doors as Flannels on Friday, August 25th.
“This announcement is a great addition to Bolton, and we eagerly anticipate the ongoing progress and the upcoming addition of brands like Primark, currently in the development phase.”
Flannels will join River Island, New Look, H&M, Beaverbrooks, Pandora and many otehr big names in the centre, which also has leisure activities for all the family and places to eat and drink within the historic Vaults.
Flannels will be open seven days-a-week, operating with Market Place’s retail opening hours.
