Pub-goers will enjoy the taste of pasties baked in Bolton as an award-winning bakery teams up with a leading brewary.
H.M.Pasties will now sell thousands of their pies in Joseph Holt’s restaurant pubs including many in Bolton.
The well-known Manchester brewery has been going since 1860.
Owner of H.M Pasties Lee Wakeham said: “They had been on my list of businesses to work with since we started six years ago, and we had to wait until we had the capacity to reach the demand.

“They were a real match for us in terms of values, with some of the work they do with the homeless shelter The Booth Centre, and it was good timing.”
After sending samples to the brewery, they proved to be a hit, and the partnership developed very quickly from there.
The pies have been on the pub menus since mid-April this year.
Lee said: “It’s amazing and it’s really exciting for everyone.
“There’s a lot more to think about in terms of allergies and cross contamination and a lot of changes we had to implement.
“It has proved to other businesses when it comes to our food that our level is at a high standard, and it gives our customers confidence.
“It has secured jobs and helped create additional jobs.”
One of the next steps for the business is to secure a bigger premise to keep up with demand.
The partnership has already opened more doors for the company, and it has started to distribute food at the Bolton Whites Hotel, as well as sharing samples with AJ Bell, and more.
Lee said: “It benefits us as a business, the people we employ and society in general, providing opportunities for those with convictions, meaning less crime.
“We have 10 employees at the moment, and we are looking to grow this to 12.
“In the last two years, from having myself and two part-time employees, by the end of August it could be up to 15.
“The Joseph Holt family have been really supportive and have really pushed this.”
A spokesperson for the brewery said: “Together with H.M.Pasties, we are committed to providing delicious moments while making a meaningful difference in people’s lives and our beloved communities.”
