Courts have fined numerous drivers who broke the speed limit on a major road into Bolton.
The A666 goes from the M60 into the centre of the town.
And a section is governed by a 50mph speed limit which is monitored by average speed cameras.
In recent months the following drivers have been penalised for not obeying this rule.
Chris Young drove at 68mph while behind the wheel of a Ford Mondeo between Bradford Street and Raikes Lane in February this year.
The case against him was proved at Tameside Magistrates Court in July.
Following this the 42-year-old was fined £440 and ordered to pay further costs of £266.
Young, from Begonia Avenue, Farnworth, was also given four points on his licence.
John Stott drove at 61mph in a Mercedes between Bradford Street and Raikes Lane in December last year.
The case against the 43-year-old was proven at Tameside Magistrate Court in July.
Following this Stott, from Springside Avenue, Worsley, was fined £220 and ordered to pay further costs of £178.
He was also given three points on his licence.
Laura Nevin drove an Audi at 58mph between Bradford Street and Raikes Lane in October last year.
The 34-year-old admitted the offence at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court in July.
Following this Nevin, from Firecrest Close, Worsley, was fined £146 and ordered to pay further costs of £143.
She was also banned from the roads for a period of 28 days.
Ryan West drove at 77mph in an Audi between Bradford Street and Raikes Lane in February this year.
He admitted the offence when the case called at Tameside Magistrates Court in July.
The 30-year-old was fined £576 and ordered to pay further costs of £30.
West, from Morton Bagot Road, Warwickshire, was also given six points on his licence.
