A nursery director has vowed to continue ‘fighting’ for her nursery which children enjoy going to after being rated inadequate.
Following an Ofsted inspection in June this year Zahra Day Nursery in Vicarage Street Bolton received the rating in all areas, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, leadership and management, and personal development.
The report did however state that children enjoy going to the nursery and that they “run in happily as they are welcomed by nursery staff”.
The report stated: "Children enjoy coming to the nursery.
"They run in happily as they are welcomed by nursery staff. Children enjoy the daily opportunities that staff provide for them to be physically active indoors and outdoors.
"They make friends and enjoy choosing from the many resources that staff set out for them to play with."

The inspection did find that the children’s safety was “compromised” due to risks “not carefully” assessed.
Ofsted inspector stated: "The manager has not assessed the risks to children of leaving her office door open. Children can easily wander into the manager's office unnoticed and access unsafe items, such as scissors and electrical equipment. This puts children's safety at risk."
The report added: “The manager has not ensured that staff hold high expectations for children's behaviour."
The report also said that the nursery has recognised issues around safety, behaviour, and curriculum, and is working to address them.
Director Afeefa Datool said: “We are already working with an early year’s consultant from Bolton Start Well.
“It came at the wrong time for us and we will fight for this nursery.
“I am proud of my staff and my setting, and we have a lot of happy parents and great staff.
“We already have an action plan and we have covered all the points made by Ofsted.
“We are very positive about the future, and I am keeping my spirits high.”
Afeefa also says that from September they will employ a new manager and new staff.
Other highlights in the report said that children enjoyed daily opportunities to be physically active indoors and outdoors.
The report said: “They make friends and enjoy choosing from the many resources that staff set out for them to play with.
“Some parents are complimentary about the nursery; they say that their children enjoy coming to nursery to play.
“However, other parents are worried about the quality of education that their children receive.”
