Bolton has among the biggest Barbie fans according to cinema Vue.
The latest figures show that Bolton’s Vue cinema completely sold-out during Barbie’s huge opening weekend.
After a huge week for cinema, with the releases of Barbie and Oppenheimer, Vue has reported its biggest week of admissions ever, beating the release week for Skyfall in 2012.

The new Greta Gerwig film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling was also hugely popular across the country, and Vue reported complete sell-outs in its venues in Bolton, Cambridge, Glasgow (St. Enoch), Leeds (Kirkstall), Islington and Portsmouth.
Toby Bradon, General Manager of Vue UK and Ireland, said: “It has been great to see our venues buzzing for Barbie all week, as we have seen huge demand across the whole country to see the film, which looks set to become the biggest of 2023 and could well enter the top ten highest grossing of all time.”
