A man accused of being involved in a conspiracy to supply class A drugs in Bolton had notes on his phone which could have been references to sales of substances, a court has heard.

Saacid Nahir is on trial accused of planning to sell heroin and cocaine between June 2022 and March this year.

Bolton Crown Court heard numerous properties were raided in Westhoughton and Bolton and drugs and money were found.

Anthony Pollard, 35, of Ainsdale Road, has already pleaded guilty to being involved in the conspiracy.

And Nahir is accused of being a part of it.

The court heard previously he was found in a property on Oxford Grove with large quantities of drugs and money.

And the trial was shown evidence from the phone which was taken from him at the time he was arrested.

Paul Trecharichi, a police constable with the Bolton Challenger Team, said the phone had a notes on it which indicated he may have been involved in the sale of drugs.

He said the notes contained references of expenditure, such as money on fuel.

It also made references to spending on “downs.”

Anna Bond, prosecuting, said: “What does downs mean?”

The police officer said: “One possibility is that it relates to heroin.

“Heroin when you are coming down it is a downer, but I can’t be sure.”

He said there were also references to bulks, which could refer to drugs being bought in bulk before they are diluted to maximise profits.

The court previously heard there were 112 grams of heroin and 115 grams of cocaine found in the room where he was arrested in 1,380 individual wraps.

Nahir, from Harvest Park, Bolton, denies the conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.

He also faces a charge of possessing cash from criminal activity which he also denies.

The trial, before Judge Tom Gilbart, continues.
