A Circus clown needs your plates after his 'smashing' act has been left in pieces.
Circus Mondao is offering 50 per cent off tickets to Bolton residents who can help their clown ‘re-plate’ his act after disaster struck before a show.
Kikin the Clown’s cracking act with Circus Mondao is hanging in the balance after a mishap with his props.
For when unloading his supply of plates of a truck, the box they were in was dropped.
Most of the plates, which are crucial to his routine, were left in disrepair and Kikin fears he will not have enough left to finish their run of shows in Bolton.
Petra Jackson, the ring mistress for Circus Mondao, said: “Over 150 plates have been broken and he only has a few left so we are worried he might have to change his whole act.
“People love seeing Kikin, he has a very popular clown routine and the kids and adults just love the smashing of the plates, so it would be upsetting if some people may miss out on this.”
The plates inside the dropped box had expected to last the clown for his shows over the next few months.
Hoping to resolve the issue, Petra said they have come up with an incentive to help Kikin re-plate his act with the help of their Bolton audience members.
She said: “ We are desperate for them so If you have any unwanted china plates we would be very grateful for them here at the circus so that KIKIN can continue this hilarious routine.
“As a thank you, we can offer half-price tickets to anyone who can bring some plates along.”
Circus Mondao will be in Bolton at the Circus Field on Wigan road, opposite the Three Pigeons Pub, until Sunday, July 30, and holds up to 600 people per show.
The company do advise pre-purchasing tickets and arriving early to get seats together as it is first come first served on the day.
Discounted tickets in exchange for plates will not be offered on the Wednesday show.
