Train passengers are facing disruption this evening, Sunday, due to a fault on the on the railway lines between Manchester Oxford Road and Bolton.
According to a Transpennine Express spokesperson, due to a fault with the signalling system between Manchester Oxford Road and Bolton, all lines are blocked.

Services running through these stations will be cancelled or delayed, with disruption expected until further notice.
A spokesperson for Transpennine Express said: "Due to a fault with the signalling system between Manchester Oxford Road and Bolton all lines are blocked.
"Train services running through these stations will be cancelled or delayed. Disruption is expected until further notice."
A spokesperson for Northern said: "Due to a points failure between Manchester Victoria and Bolton some lines are blocked. Train services running through these stations will be cancelled."
Passengers are being advised to check before they travel, and journeys may be affected.
