Families ran together while throwing paint at other in a fun run to raise money for a charity supported by The Bolton News.
Families and children from across Bolton came together to run, walk and have some fun throwing paint while getting some exercise at the Bolton Arena Sports Village on Wednesday, July 19.
Along with the run, the outdoor track was painted in the colours of a rainbow.
The event raised £500 for Urban Outreach Bolton.
This comes as The Bolton News launched a campaign to raise £5k for the charity to help struggling families this summer.
Louise Miller, sales manager at Bolton Arena, said: "It was fantastic to see so many people coming together and enjoying themselves and trying out something new.
“The colour run was fully booked, and we plan to increase numbers next year and grow the activities even more.
“We remain passionate and committed to our mission of building an active healthy community and want everyone to have the chance to use Bolton Arena."
As costs continue to rise across the UK, seven newspapers have come together to raise money for their local newspaper.
This also includes, Lancashire Telegraph, The Oldham Times, Bury Times, Wirral Globe, Warrington Guardian and St Helens Star, all part of the Newsquest Media Group.
Louise also said they were delighted with the attendance for people using the facilities well everyone who painted our outdoor track the colours of the rainbow in the 3km Colour Fun Run.
As well as free activities for adults and children to partake in, a range of local businesses also showcased their services in the main reception area.
Louise added: “Bolton Arena would also like to thank The Bolton News, for kindly sponsoring the event.”
Urban Outreach is an innovative charity which is well-respected locally - they find solutions to difficult and intractable social problems.
The charity works with people that experience homelessness and help families struggling in the cost of living crisis.
Recently, the charity announced it would be handing out free lunches to children in Bolton whose families were struggling.
