Gemma Atkinson has welcomed her baby boy, making an announcement on her social media this morning (Wednesday).

The former actress has welcomed her second child with her fiancé, Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka Marquez.

Gemma, from Bury, wrote on her Instagram this morning: “Little man is here! He arrived safe and sound and he’s utterly wonderful.

“Mia is already the mother hen we expected her to be.

“We’re all home together soaking up this lovely little bubble before Gorks has to leave for Strictly rehearsals next week.

“Thank you for all the lovely well wishes.

“Our family is complete.”

The couple met in 2017 when the Hits Radio presenter appeared on Strictly Come Dancing and even though they weren’t coupled up, they became one after the show.

They have a three-year-old daughter Mia and announced their latest pregnancy back in January when Gemma shared pictures of her baby bump.

Gemma, who is president of Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary in Edenfield, posted on Instagram: “Our baby boy will be joining our family later this year.

“We feel so incredibly blessed and grateful to be on this journey again.

“Mia is absolutely thrilled! Although we may need to do some negotiating on names, as so far, she’s adamant he’s going to be called Barbie.”
