A man was cut free from a vehicle by firefighters after a car crashed into a tree.
Emergency services were called to Old Kiln Lane in Heaton at 9.30pm yesterday.
One man was able to get out of the vehicle while firefighters worked to free another.
A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said, “At around 9:30pm last night (Friday, 14th July), firefighters were called to reports of a crash on Old Kiln Lane in Bolton.
“Two fire engines from Bolton fire station, as well as two technical response units from Leigh fire station, quickly attended the scene which involved a vehicle that had hit a tree.
“One man had self-rescued prior to crews arriving, and firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment and lighting equipment to extricate another man from the vehicle. Both casualties were transferred to the care of the North West Ambulance Service and taken to hospital.
“Crews were at the scene for around an hour and a half.”
The nature of the injuries is not yet know and Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for more information.
