Roll-up roll-up!
The circus is coming to town.
And the ringmaster Petra Jackson said it feels ‘like coming home’.
Traditional family circus, Circus Mondeo, will return to Bolton on July 19 until July 30 bringing with it acts for all the family to enjoy.
The circus is on five days a week Wednesday to Sunday with two-hour long shows in the big top on Wigan Road, opposite the Three Pigeons pub.
Performances will include horses and ponies and pigeons, a cross bow act, whip cracking, wheel of death, chair balancing, ariel acts, juggling and Kickin Clown from Chile.
Petra said she is excited to return to the town and see the children who used to attend now attend with their children.
She said: “Bolton is one of our regular venues, we are very lucky that we have known the family where we will be located for well over 30 years.
“Previous to Circus Mondeo being trading, which is 17 years, we used to go there with another circus, so we have known the family a very very long time so its like coming home when we come to Bolton.
“We have many regular customers who come and see us year in year out and we have seen the children grow and those children are now bringing their children to see the show, which is lovely to see that people are still coming out and enjoying live entertainment.
“Because in today’s day and age of computers, tablets, and Netflix where you can just press a button and sit and watch a movie with your family and it doesn’t cost you anything, it's nice to know families are still coming out and enjoying family time together.
“We have lots of discounts so people can come and enjoy it with their families.”
Performances start each day at 5pm and 7.30pm during the week but on Saturday's the performances are 2pm and 5pm and on Sunday 2pm only.
Prices fluctuate depending on where people want to sit but on Wednesday all seats are £7.50, and tickets can only be purchased from the onsite office.
