Ukrainian refugees who have made Bolton their home received a donation of health foods.
Holland and Barrett made the donation to give to around 100 people who have fled their homeleand.
They received packets of muesli, banana chips, and sugar-free raisins in chocolate.
Bolton Branch Chair of AUGB Yaroslaw Tymchyshyn said: “The Ukrainian guests were overwhelmed as only four of us knew what was happening.
“Olena Bielieskova and Hanna Slobodian put a shift in repackaging the items from the boxes into carrier bags.
“Our guests were only informed two days beforehand due to transport logistics at Holland and Barrett.
“When the guests came to our centre, to be greeted with these gifts, they were pleasantly surprised.
“We had a previous arrangement with the Levelling Up Department, who came for a drop-in for any guests who may have had a problem.
“There were many comments on how successful the day was.
“Many thanks and gratitude to Holland and Barrett, who made this wonderful gesture.
“Also, many thanks to Dave Bagley, who facilitated the delivery to Bolton Urban Outreach.”
