East Lancashire Railway is gearing up for a jam-packed summer calendar of family fun days.
Family favourites including Thomas the Tank Engine, Hey Duggee and Alice in Wonderland will be there throughout the summer as well as a classic car show.
Day Out with Thomas
Thomas the Tank Engine is returning to the railway this summer for a big adventure.
Meet Sir Topham Hatt at the station then climb aboard a carriage and go on a journey through the countryside on a fun-filled journey to Ramsbottom before returning to Bury.

At the Bury Transport Museum, activities will include hilarious performances from Sodor’s cheeky station sweepers Rusty & Dusty, balloon modelling, face painting and fun fair rides.
Day Out with Thomas will take place on the 5 and 6 August before returning later on the 30 September and 1 October.
Hey Duggee Family Fun Day
Duggee will be exploring Bury Transport Museum this summer for a family fun day and children can meet him at intervals on 24 and 25 August.
The experience will include a selection of fun fair rides, face painting and craft activities for the little ones to get stuck into.
Complete the day with a trip through the Irwell Valley on a real heritage steam train - included in the price of the railway ticket.
Peppa Pig Family Fun Day
Peppa and George will be visiting Bury Transport Museum on 31 August and 1 September and will be available to meet.
Guests can complete Peppa’s activity trail and continue the fun with a fun fair, face painters and craft activities and even meet farmyard friends at the petting zoo.
A trip through the Irwell Valley on one of the railway’s trains is also included in the price of the railway ticket.
The Wizarding Adventure
Learn how to become a master of mystery and magic during an interactive whistle stop tour of the Wizard Academy and graduate with prestigious honours of 'hocus-pocusry'.
Guests can take lessons in the basics of broomsticks, practice potion making, be instructed in incantations and learn to talk with a tawny owl.

This 90-minute adventure includes a round trip on a real heritage steam train with plenty of photo opportunities.
The Wizarding Adventure takes place on the 16 July, 10 and 17 August.
Travel to Wonderland
Alice and her friends will be hosting a two-hour wonderland experience which includes a steam train ride from Bury to Rawtenstall.
Guests can meet colourful characters and take part in themed activities with plenty of photo opportunities.
The trip to wonderland will take place on 11 August.
The Dino Adventure
Join a team of intrepid explorers on an adventure of Jurassic proportions to get up close and personal with baby dinosaurs.
This 90-minute experience includes a round trip from Bury to Rawtenstall on a steam train as guests learn all about the adorable dinosaurs from the expert handlers and earn your dino diploma.

The interactive day-out includes dinosaur themed activities and plenty of photo opportunities.
The Dino Adventure takes place on the 18 August.
Classic Car Show
East Lancs Railway is offering fun for the whole family with the return of its popular Classic Car Show.
The captivating collection of cars will be on display at both Bury Transport Museum and Heywood Station from 10am-4pm.
Admission to this event is free with your standard admission to the railway and will take place on the 30 July.
