Preparation for filming is taking place in Bolton today at town centre locations where stars have previously been spotted.
Film vans and crews have been seen outside of The Victoria Hall on Knowsley Street today working on new Paramount+ series A Gentleman in Moscow, starring Ewan McGregor.
And it has been revealed a Netflix series starring a popular actress will begin filming in the town later this month.
Speaking outside the building this morning, a source said that crews were "prepping" for filming today.
He added: "They are doing set up upstairs and moving things around."
Speaking outside Le Mans Crescent, a source confirmed that the preparation taking place at Victoria Hall is for filming of A Gentleman in Moscow.
He also confirmed that preparation for filming is taking place at the famous crescent.
He said that crews would be preparing there 'for weeks', and that filming will take place there in the next month.
A source also confirmed that Netflix thriller Fool Me Once, starring Michelle Keegan and Joanna Lumley, will be filming on Le Mans Crescent later this month.
He said: "There is one on July 24 called Fool Me Once, it has Michelle Keegan in."
He said crews would be filming on the Black Horse Street side of Le Mans Crescent.
Cllr Nadeem Ayub, cabinet member for culture, said: "It is great to see film crews in Bolton once again, it feeds into our economy and showcases us on a national stage.
"It is great to see filming in Bolton town centre, especially off the back of great events like Ironman.
"Watch this space."
This comes after Ewan McGregor was spotted in Bolton earlier this year for filming.
He was seen at The Victoria Hall and on Victoria Square as part of shooting for A Gentleman in Moscow.
Other TV shows that former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan appears in have also filmed in Bolton, such as Sky's Brassic.
Based on a 2016 novel by Amor Towles and set at the time of the Russian Revolution, around 100 years ago, A Gentleman in Moscow tracks aristocrat Alexander Rostov after he is spared execution but sent to the Hotel Metropol under house arrest.
