There was a definite Bolton theme to an ITV singing contest tonight as two singers from Bromley Cross performed together on The Voice Kids.
Will Edgar, 14, made his debut on the popular show where he took to the stage with his guitar to perform Niall Horan's Nice to Meet You.
When asked where in Bolton he was from, the schoolboy said Bromley Cross and McFly guitarist Danny Jones' face lit up when he revealed he was from the same area.
Will was asked whether he knew any McFly songs and said he knew "All About You."
After this the one-time McBusted member took to the stage and they performed the song together.
As it began, The Voice Kids judge Danny said: "careful, the Bolton boys are here."
In the build up to his performance Will paid tribute to his family and especially his father for making his musical journey to date possible.
He was welcomed onto The Voice and will be on Danny's team for the final to be screened next week.

The other judges, Ronan Keating, Pixie Lott and Will.i.am were also impressed by the 14-year-old's solo version of Nice to Meet You and duet of All About You.
In the build up to his performance the Turton High School pupil revealed how his musical journey had come about.
He said: “It all started with the violin when I was seven at Eagley Infants School doing music lessons.
“I really enjoyed that and also went on to play the drums and join Bolton Orchestra but when lockdown came around, I picked up my brother's guitar, started playing and then singing.”
He has also been busking in Bury town centre, performed in the Mill Gate Shopping Centre for charities and has done gigs at a variety of venues.
