Police are cracking down on speeding in Bolton, with more tickets being handed out to drivers breaking the speed limit.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police's speed enforcement team were out in Bolton to ensure the roads were safe.
Checks were carried out on Blackburn Road and Belmont Road in Astley Bridge, and two drivers were given speeding tickets.
A spokesman for police said: “One of our priorities is to make roads safer in #Bolton.
“Neighbourhood officers have conducted speed enforcement on Blackburn Road and Belmont Road in AstleyBridge.
“Two drivers were issued tickets for driving at excess speed.”
This follows the successful Operation Avro which took place in May in Bolton, where 354 traffic offences were reported with 282 of them relating to speeding.
The force made 52 arrests and issued 18 warrants throughout the day in May, and officers said they were going to up patrols in areas where it was more common.
Ch Supt Parker praised the operation for listening to the public’s concerns.
She said: “Over the past 12 months we have listened to the community, and we know that your concerns are around dangerous and speeding drivers, drugs, anti-social behaviour, and serious violence.
“Please keep talking to us, we need to know what matters to you, and how we can make Bolton a safer and stronger community.
“Operation AVRO is a successful operation to do the police work we are trained to do.”
