Police are out in Astley Bridge today following complaints from residents that the one-way system on a road was not been followed by motorists.
Officers with GMP Bolton North were at Sweetloves Lane as part of an enforcement exercise to catch drivers not following the rules and to improve roadsafety across Bolton.
A spokesman for the force said: "Officers have been conducting enforcement on Sweetloves Lane, Astley Bridge.
"This is following complaints from the community that the one-way system is being misused."
He added " You said we did."
Police in Bolton have been carrying out a number of roadside enforcement exercises, including running Operation Portman.
The operation was launched to reduce deaths and serious injuries on Bolton's roads.
And a number of the exercises take place on roads raised as a concern by local residents, including at local PACT meetings, which are attended by councillors and police.
