An Oldham woman attacked three of her friends at a home in Bolton after she thought one of them had taken items belonging to her on a night out.
In January this year Lucy McCann went on a night out with Allesha Gregory, Olivia Swarbrick and Eloise Hitchen.
But Bolton Crown Court heard the night ended disastrously for the group.
After they split up McCann believed one of the others had taken items belonging to her.
She turned up at a property in Bolton where the others were staying and became violent.
She grabbed Miss Swarbrick by the neck and squeezed it.
Miss Swarbrick struggled to breathe and later tried to restrain McCann by sitting on her.
The others became involved but McCann continued to attack bit Miss Hitchen and struck Miss Gregory causing her to suffer a burst lip.
Julian Goode, prosecuting, revealing what the impact on the victims had been, said: “‘Miss Swarbrick says ‘her behaviour scared me.’ Miss Hitchen described the incident as having concerned her.
“Miss Gregory stated ‘I am traumatised by the event’.”
McCann, 25 and from Leamington Sreet, Oldham, appeared in court after admitting actual bodily harm on the three women and intentional strangulation of Miss Swarbrick.
Saul Brody, defending, said it was out of character for her.
He said: “She is thoroughly ashamed and remorseful.
“She has lost her friends over this.
“She is not a risk to the public.”
Recorder Alexandra Simmons said: “The difficulty is if you go and get drunk and then do things you would not ordinarily do you still need to face the consequences.
“You have abstained from drugs and alcohol since that night.”
She suspended a sentence of 12 months for a year and ordered McCann to 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
She also ordered her to do 100 hours of unpaid work and imposed a restraining order preventing her from contacting the three women she attacked for a period of two years.
