Two off road motorbikes were seized earlier this week near a rugby club amid a police crack down on anti-social behaviour.
The bikes were seized on Thursday this week after police heard reports of anti-social behaviour near Astley Street based Tyldesley Rugby Club.
This came as part of Operation Avro, a regular police initiative which took place in Bolton earlier this year and has now come to the Wigan area.
Chief Superintendent Emily Higham said: “Operation AVRO is always an exciting day for us in policing. What that means for our district of Wigan and Leigh is that you will see more warrants than usual being conducted and more people being arrested.
"But more importantly, we continue to work with our partners to do knife crime arches and talks to children about the dangers of carrying knives alongside closure order visits and anti-social behaviour are just some of the many activities that have taken place.”
The bikes were seized by two neighbourhood officers who attended after hearing the reports of off roading.
Officers have also dealt with speeding, dangerous driving and other similar offences as part of Operation Avro over the last week.
The operation aims to tackle each Greater Manchester borough in turn on a regular basis.
