The latest step has been taken in a multimillion pound project to build more than 150 homes in Bolton town centre.
The £35million plans to build a total of 167 homes on last east of Central Street, just off Deansgate, which had previously been occupied by various other buildings and a car park have been in motion since 2020.
A ground-breaking ceremony was held earlier this year to mark the start of building work and now further details have been put to Bolton Council on external brickwork and mortar.
A statement from Bolton Council planning documents said: “The site is located in the centre of Bolton and has been largely operating as a surface car park, with a row of small buildings along the southern edge fronting onto Deansgate.
“The site is well-connected to Bolton’s amenities and to public transport and road networks.
“It is also well placed to link with the emerging plans for increased cycling infrastructure in the town.”
The new homes will be a combination of flats and town houses as well as including space for pedestrians.
Permission was granted for the project itself back in 2021, with demolition of the car park and other buildings occupying the site having been carried out 18 months ago.
The most recent part of the plans having been put forward after a visit by Bolton Council planning officer Martin Mansell to the site earlier this year.

Mr Mansell visited site off Central Street to look at sample construction panels of each of the kinds of bricks being used on the project.
When completed, Caddick Construction have said that the development will be key to addressing the shortage of affordable homes for renting at the heart of the town centre.
The project is part of Croal Valley, one of several areas identified by Bolton’s £1billion town centre masterplan as a site for regeneration, with others including Cheadle Square, Church Wharf, Crompton Place and Trinity Square.
The most recent stage of the plans were put before Bolton Council on Friday June 9 with the authority set to make a decision by Friday August 4.
