A Bolton charity which works to help cats and kittens in need has launched a fundraising appeal.
Avid’s Angels Cat Rescue works to rescue and rehabilitate the adorable animals and to find them a new home.
It was set up after its founder saw the desperate plight of abandoned and neglected cats in the town.
One of its key focuses is providing veterinary care to animals they are looking after including neutering, vaccinations, microchipping and flea and worming.
The charity has now launched a fundraising appeal to ensure it can continue offering these services.
It is working with businesses and carrying out events to cover the costs of veterinary care and other supplies.
The charity is also inviting donations from individuals.
Founder Jennifer Herriot said: “Every cat and kitten deserves a chance at a happy, healthy life.
“Through our work, we are striving to make a positive impact in Bolton by providing a second chance to these beautiful animals and raising awareness about responsible pet ownership."
The charity also screens potential adopters of cats to ensure the best possible match is found.
And it promotes responsible pet ownership and the wellbeing of animals in the long term.
