Horwich: Flowersmiths florists celebrates a decade

Flowersmiths on Lee Lane, Horwich, held a celebration on Saturday, June 12, to mark 10 years of being open.

The shop's staff celebrated with treats for everyone and special offers throughout the day. 

The artisan florist offers bespoke floristry designs, indoor and outdoor plants and a range of gifts, as well as deliveries.

Maxine Smith, owner of Flowersmiths, said: "We're really proud of it, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster, as it is for everybody with a small business, but we're really proud to have reached the 10 year milestone.

"We're excited to have reached this milestone, especially after the rollercoaster of the last few years!

"We have special offers on around the shop, we got a cake made by our next-door shop neighbours and bucks fizz for everybody.

"We're enjoying the sunshine, and the shop looks lovely in the sun.

"We have had quite a few of our regular customers and new customers through the door, that's been brilliant."

She added: "We've had some lovely comments about the shop, of nice memories from the last 10 years from people.

"They become friends after 10 years. I have one staff member who has been with me since the start, Karen, she's been a great help.

"A year and a half ago, we took on a new staff member, Marcia, who has become a lovely part of the Flowersmiths team."

Maxine thanked those who have supported her, saying: "Thanks to my friends and family for helping me out over the last decade and the members of the Flowersmiths team.

"We love being in Horwich, everyone is so friendly and there are some fantastic shops here. We're very happy to have our shop here."
