Police seized more than 20 cannabis plants after raiding a property.

Officers from the Farnworth and Kearsley Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out a warrant at a property on Lower Rawson Street in Farnworth on Friday, June 9.

They said they  found 21 cannabis plants 'in their infancy', and an electricity meter which had been bypassed.

There was also 'potential for further plants to be grown', according to GMP.

PC Kelly of Farnworth Neighbourhood Team said: "Farnworth & Kearsley Neighbourhood Policing Team with the assistance of the Divisional Tutor Unit, have executed a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act Warrant at a property on Lower Rawson Street, Farnworth on  June 9.

"Officers located 21 Cannabis plants in their infancy in one room with the potential for further plants to be grown in the set up.

"In addition to the plants the electricity meter had been bypassed, so this was made safe before a thorough search was carried out.

The raid is the latest in a number on properties in Bolton which has resulted in a cannabis farm being dismantled.

There have been five discovered in Bolton town centre alone.

One of those  was discoved in Bolton town centre after police were called to a suspected burglary in November.

Farms were uncovered in Bank Street and in 2021 two huge grows were found at an old bank and former car dealership.
