A blind racing driver visited Bolton College to pick up his car which motorsport students had been working on.
Before the half-term break, the extraordinary 'Super Human, Mike Newman' from Farnworth, visited the STEM Centre to claim his incredible, upgraded race car at the start of June.
Born with a remarkable ability to conquer challenges despite being completely blind, Mike is a true inspiration, holding an impressive nine World Records and he currently holds the title for the fastest blind man on land and water.
A spokesman for Bolton College said: “The hard work and dedication of our talented Motor Vehicle Accident Repair (Paint) students truly shone as they spent months passionately restoring the car's body.
“It's now in tip-top shape, ready to support the fastest blind man on the planet as he embarks on his exhilarating adventures.”
Mike is also a leader of the charity, Speed Of Sight, which gives those with disabilities the chance to get behind the wheel with dual control cars.
Mike said: "I'd like to offer a heartfelt thanks to Bolton College for doing a fantastic job on our cars - this is the second one they're repaired and their work is top quality.
“I'm absolutely overwhelmed with the effort that has gone into it."
