A number of roads will be closed towards the end of this month for works to take place.
The first closure will take place from June 20 for approximately one day on Broadwalk, Westhoughton.
The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Broadwalk from Oxlea Grove to Gorsey Hey to allow manhole repairs to take place.
An alternate route for traffic will be via The Crescent.
Manhole repairs will take place at Kestrel Street on June 28 for approximately one evening.
Between the hours of 7pm and 10pm, the closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Kestrel Street to allow works to take place.
To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.
Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
