Drivers in and around Bolton will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to continue and start over the next two weeks.

The first closure has been in place since June 5 and will continue until June 16.

The closure is on the M61, 8pm June 5 to 5am June 16, causing slight delays of under ten minutes.

The closure impacts the M61 northbound between junctions six and eight due to a lane closure for structure works.

From 10pm June 17 until 10am June 18, there will be moderate delays on the M61 junction three, A666 northbound and southbound.

This is for a carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

Finally, from 9pm June 19 to 6am June 26, there will be moderate delays on the M6 northbound and southbound between junction 21A and 26.

This is due to lane closures and carriageway closures for improvement works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
