P!NK to be given a Bolton Gin Company tipple as she comes to town

The Bolton Gin Company has been selected to provide drinks for the concert at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Owner of The Bolton Gin Company, Paul Welch, says he has had a busy two weeks with an order of 45,000 drinks.

Paul said: “It’s been mad, we’ve had two weeks to do it with not much notice, but it has been great.

“We had a meeting three months ago about it where they said they liked that we sold drinks in plastic bottles after two people saw me at the Bolton Food and Drink Festival last year and they remembered.

“Then a couple of weeks ago they told me they needed 45,000, so we had to put in 14-hour day shifts with lots of friends and family.”

The concerts are set to take place today and Thursday.

Paul said: “I did not know how we were going to do it.

“We are a small company, it’s only me though we are in lots of shops, because I try to get out there and promote us.

“It’s been so busy that we’ve been working for 16 days with no days off to get everything ready.”

This is also the first time The Bolton Gin Company has put anything in a can, as BWFC requested cocktails in cans for the two-day concert.

Fans will get to try Twisted Vodka – raspberry and lemonade, and strawberry, lime and lemonade.

There will be Bow and Arrow Rum, with cherry rum and cola.

And from their new Mixologist Cocktail Company, there will be passionfruit martinis, a woo woo, and sex on the beach.

The team have also designed a bottle personalised for P!NK with gin glasses to her hotel room at the Whites Hotel.

Paul said: “To be able to launch new cocktails at the concert is a massive opportunity and BWFC have been amazing to support a local business like us.

“They always support us.”
