A woman has been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Doffcocker this afternoon after a crash between two moving and two parked cars.
The smash happened on Chorley Old Road near to Captains Clough Road.
The call was made just before 2pm from Chorley Old Road.
Police, fire and ambulance were sent and it emerged the collision was between a white Lexus and a grey Corsa as the pair came from opposite directions.
There was then a collision with a black Lexus and a white Audi which had been parked on the street.
The road was closed as vehicles were recovered.
It re-opened at around 3.30pm.
One woman was taken to hospital as a result of injuries sustained.
Mahendra Taylor owns the Audi which was hit.
He was about to get in the car when the collision took place.
He said: "I stood at the back of my car and I looked up.
"I saw the white car coming down.
"I did not see the other car coming up.
"That is all I saw.
"It was a shock, it could have it me.
"If I had been a foot further out it would have hit me.
"It was going at a normal speed.
"I think it could have hurt me very badly."
Michelle Whitehouse owns the black Lexus which was hit.
She said: "It was about 1.40pm, I was out back and I heard it.
"A neighbour said my car has been hit.
"I was asked to move it.
"It should be alright.
"They also hit my neighbour's car."
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Just before 2pm this afternoon Monday 5 June we were called to attend the scene of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on Chorley Old Road, Bolton.
“Two fire engines from Bolton Central were mobilised to the incident, and firefighters made the vehicles safe before departing after around 20 minutes at the scene.”
A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "A woman has been taken to hospital."
Police confirmed they attended and a woman had sustained injuries.
