Everyone loves a good photo of an old pub that is no longer with us.
We think our readers may pass this prominent building at Bradshaw Brow every day.
These days diners can be found inside Rokka Mediterranean restaurant, but for many years it was the Royal Oak pub.
This photograph shows Harry Smith, licensee in the 1890s, standing in the doorway of the pub, which was the terminus of the
local stagecoach.
