A Bolton-based company have announced their sponsorship of Soccer Aid for UNICEF’s England vs World XI game at Old Trafford.

The well renowned electrical retailers AO are delighted to be involved with the charity event, with Bolton TV star Paddy McGuinness and Manchester United legends Paul Scholes and Gary Neville among those set to appear.

This year’s 12th edition of the football event, taking place on Sunday June 10, is priding itself on affordability, with a family of four being able to attend for £60.

Superstar rapper Stormzy and Scotsman Martin Compston, of Line of Duty fame, will be managing England and the World XI respectively.

The 2022 I'm a Celebrity "Queen of the Jungle" Jill Scott will be leading England out – alongside fellow former internationals Jack Wilshere and Gary Cahill.

Record-breaking Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt will be captaining the World XI, with familiar faces Mo Farah, Tom Grennan, Liam Payne and Steven Bartlett set to be involved.

“Furthermore, AO’s generosity helps us to raise vital funds for UNICEF and to increase global awareness of our event.”

A record breaking £15.6m was raised from last year’s match, with more than £75m being raised since 2006’s first edition.

Bear, AO’s official mascot, will be present outside the stadium to meet fans, with spectators having the opportunity to take part in football challenges to try and beat the scores of some of the legends appearing.
