An award-winning fish and chips restaurant in Horwich have temporarily closed their doors following a break-in last night, Monday.
Family friendly dining room Curley's Dining Rooms on Wallsuches, off Chorley Old Road, reported the crime on social media.
They said that they made the decision to close the eatery following the break-in.
In a Facebook post they said that they also needed to close whilst police were on site for a few hours.
They promised to keep their customers updated as soon as they are able to reopen, with hopes this could be as soon as tomorrow, Wednesday, May 31).
In the post, the company apologised for any “inconvenience” caused.
The post said: “We have some very sad news that Curley’s will be closed today as last night there was a break in, and the police will be on site for a few hours yet.
“We will certainly keep you updated when we will be reopening, hopefully tomorrow.
“We do apologise for any inconvenience that this causes to your plans.”
The nature of the break-in is yet to be confirmed.
Curley's has been approached for more information on the impact caused.
