Amir Khan and his family are celebrating after his sister got married in Bolton at the weekend.

Mariyah Khan, the sister of former world boxing champion Amir and Commonwealth Games Bronze medallist boxer Haroon "Harry" Khan, got married at a ceremony on Sunday.

Her brothers and sister-in-law Faryal Makhdoom posted photos and video from the bride’s Mehndi, a pre-wedding event, on social media.

Mariyah posted her own videos of the ceremony on TikTok which show her celebrating with family and friends, cutting her wedding cake and dancing.

The family have been taking part in wedding celebrations over the last few weeks.

Amir, who won a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Athens, visited Bolton’s Pakistani restaurant of the year in March, as part of celebrations for the wedding.

Amir and his wife Faryal are in the middle of preparations for developing their own wedding venue at the Excellency Plaza on Back Deane Road.

The model and reality TV star recently spoke out against fly-tipping outside the venue that she and her husband are financing.

The couple have spent £15m on the new development which will be ready to open in October this year.
