Summer would not be summer without a traditional garden party.
And the annual Smithills Hall Garden Party is set to return with hundreds expected to visit one of Bolton’s most historic halls.
Organisers are already preparing for the popular family day out.
And they are keen for people to come forward to set up a stall to showcase and sell their craft goods and local produce.

Around 4,000 visitors came to the last garden party, and those behind the prestigious event are looking forward to welcoming people back, as well as some new faces.
It will take place on Sunday July 16, from 12pm to 4pm at Smithills Hall, Dean Road, BL1 7NP.
Commercial stalls are £50, and Charity/Youth stalls are £20.
Each stall will have a trestle table (approx. 6ft by 3ft) and two chairs.
It is a first come, first served basis to hire gazebos, priced at £25, due to limited availability.
In order to sell items on a stall, owners must have public liability insurance.
Email maureen.lewiscoker@bolton.gov.uk with expressions of interest by Friday June 2 with details of the stall, along with images.
Stall bookings will be confirmed by Friday June 9.
