A chef who has worked in high end restaurants is to launch a new menu at a popular pub.
Adrian Loan with his business Tesa has taken over the kitchens at Henighans EAT & DRINK in Breightmet.
And service will start on June 1 after a search for the business to run the food side came up with the right result.
Adrian has been a chef for almost 20 years, starting off in his home country Romania, and across the UK.
He has worked in a range of roles, all the way up to head chef, working at high quality restaurant Brasserie Blanc – with the menu devised by celebrity chef Raymond Blanc.
Adrian said: “It’s very exciting for me because it’s the first time in a pub.
“Before then I operated at Macclesfield Football Club.
“So, it’s something different for me.
“We try our best to be something different.”
Adrian only started his company in November last year and saw this as a great opportunity to start something that was his own.
On the menu will be tapas, traditional pub style options and Mediterranean style dishes inspired by Adrian’s culture.
Adrian said: “We will try and see how things work and change things if we need to.
“It’s a proud feeling when people like your food and we are so excited to open.
“We want people to enjoy nice food.”
Managing director Nick Howcroft says that it will be good for the area to have a restaurant serving quality food.
He said: “We have been trying to find the right people who are experienced enough and pick the right chef.
“Tesa will specialise in food, and we will do the drinks with some food on the pub side too.
“It will be seamless when you walk in.
“We don’t want people paying restaurant prices.
“We will serve restaurant style meals for pub prices and quality meals.”
Nick also runs another successful branch of Henighan’s in Little Lever.
There will also be top live entertainment on a Saturday with lots more events to come.
The restaurant is also in need of full time and part time staff for the front of house, kitchen porters and waitresses.
