A nursery boss has welcomed a "good" ranking from the education watchdog but has said she will work to make it "outstanding".
Tic Tots Day Nursery and Creche operates at the site of Total Fitness on Waters Meeting Road in Bolton.
It can take youngsters from three months of age until preschool age.
It currently has 56 youngsters enrolled and 12 staff members.
A recent report from regulator, Ofsted, which rated the nursery "good" in all areas, said: "Children enter the nursery with high energy.
"They beam with delight when they see their friends and greet staff with hugs.
"Children thoroughly enjoy their time at this welcoming nursery.
"They are happy, safe and have a strong sense of belonging.
"Children develop good levels of independence.
"They help to tidy toys away, put their coats on and help to serve food at mealtimes.
"Children develop the necessary skills in readiness for their move on to school."
The report added: "The support in place for children with special educational needs and or disabilities (SEND) is excellent.
"Leaders are relentless in their pursuit of removing barriers to learning.
"Links with external professionals are robust. Children with SEND flourish and make good progress."
The report also said: "Support staff to have a better understanding of how to help older children to regulate their own feelings and emotions."
In response to the report, nursery manager Deborah Thompson said: "I am very happy.
"We have got quite a new team here, it was a team effort, we have come a long way in the last year.
"It felt good as the goal posts have moved with Ofsted.
"One of the things the report said was really good was our special educational needs.
"We are all really friendly and that makes the envronment friendly.
"We have got a really good team, we have had a lot of turnover but we have a really solid team now.
"Our long term goal is to work towards being outstanding.
"Ofsted won't be back for six years so we have got time to work towards it.
"I hope the people who are part of it will stay hwere and we can get there together."
