Smithills Hall is set to host a fun new dog show in the grounds of the historic building this month.
On May 14, Smithills Hall Museum will be hosting its first dog show in some time and the event is "starting off small and exclusive" with just 20 places per category - so participants are advised to sign up as soon as possible so they don't miss out and to be in with a chance of winning a Rosette or the coveted "Best in Show" trophy.
At the dog show there will be eight different categories for participants to take part in including best costume, scruffiest, fluffiest, best rescue, best young handler, quickest sit, best puppy (under 12 months) and best veteran (over 8 years).
For participants to be involved they must pay £4 per category and all must be booked in advance via Eventbrite.
The winner of each category will then go to the "Best in Show" class which will close the day at 4pm.
Places are non-refundable and people are advised to select the right category as mistakes cannot be rectified afterwards.
